Grand Canyon Mule Dies on Overnight Trip

According to reports, Grand Canyon South Rim mule named 'Smurfee', died while crossing Black Bridge at the bottom of the canyon.

Shannan D. Marcak, Public Affairs Specialist, Grand Canyon National Park, said she currently has no details on this incident.

A South Kaibab trail hiker caught dramatic video of a helicopter taking the mule out of the canyon.
